Square Enix officially announced Octopath Traveler 0Epic Games Store, the latest installment in the popular JRPG franchise, will be released on December 4, 2025. The game will be available on multiple platforms, including PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Switch 2, PlayStation 4, Switch, and PC (Steam, Epic Games Store, Microsoft Store). This announcement was one of the main highlights of the July 31, 2025 Nintendo Direct event.
New Features of Octopath Traveler 0
Octopath Traveler 0 introduces a number of new features that were never seen in the previous series. One of the main innovations is the character customization system. Players can now create their own main character, from choosing their appearance, voice, movement, to their favorite food. This feature provides a more personalized and immersive gaming experience, allowing each player to experience a unique adventure.
In addition, the game also features town building. Players can build and restore their home town, as well as invite other characters to live in their created town. This feature adds elements of simulation and strategy, expanding the gameplay that was previously more focused on exploration and combat.

Square Enix is offering two editions: Standard Edition for $49.99 and Digital Deluxe Edition for $59.99. The Deluxe Edition includes the "Deluxe Travel Provisions" DLC and a digital art book. All pre-orders, both Standard and Deluxe, will get the bonus "Travel Provisions" DLC.
