Crunchyroll has just wrapped up its showcase at Anime Expo 2026 with a series of announcements regarding its upcoming anime lineup. The presentation featured new films, a first look at long-awaited anime, and updates on several titles set to premiere in 2026 and 2027.
The biggest highlight came from Solo Leveling: Beyond the System which was announced as a new feature-length anime film. At the same time, Ghost of Tsushima Legends It also finally revealed the first look at the characters and the core staff.

Here is a complete list of the anime titles that were announced and received updates during the Crunchyroll showcase at Anime Expo 2026.
Solo Leveling: Beyond the System (Currently in Production)
The biggest announcement at this showcase was Solo Leveling: Beyond the System. The project was announced as a feature-length anime film that is currently in production.
The film's story will pick up immediately after the events of Season 2. The audience at the event was also shown the main visual teaser and a promotional concept video for the project.
The film was animated by A-1 Pictures and produced by Aniplex, Netmarble, D&C MEDIA, Kakao Piccoma, and Crunchyroll. Aleks Le, the English voice actor for Sung Jinwoo, also took the stage to make this announcement.
Ghost of Tsushima Legends (TBA)
Ghost of Tsushima Legends It also garnered significant attention with the character reveal. The anime had previously been announced as an adaptation produced in collaboration with Aniplex, Sony Music, and PlayStation Productions.
As for the staff, this project is led by Director Takanobu Mizuno. The script is written by Satoshi Maejima and Gen Urobuchi, while Gen Urobuchi is also in charge of series composition. Character design is by Takashi Okazaki, animation production is handled by KAMIKAZE DOUGA, and production is supervised by HAYATE Inc.
This anime is said to bring the samurai aesthetic of the game to the anime format with a cinematic visual style. Additional details regarding production and the broadcast schedule will be announced at a later date.
The Guy She Was Interested In Wasn’t a Guy at All (Early 2027)
Another notable update comes from The Guy She Was Interested In Wasn’t a Guy at All. In a video message played during the event, Dave Grohl revealed that the song “Breed” The song by Nirvana will be the opening theme for the anime.
This anime is scheduled to air in early 2027. The story follows Aya, a stylish and cheerful high school student who loves rock music and becomes intrigued by a mysterious figure at a CD store, unaware that the person is actually her own classmate, Mitsuki.
For now, additional information about this series will be announced at a later date.
Kagurabachi (2027)
Kagurabachi also received an update during this showcase after it was previously announced that it would be coming to Crunchyroll next year. Panel attendees took part in a Q&A session with Taihi Kimura and Japanese voice actress Chihiro Rokuhira.
In addition, panel attendees were given a first look at the preliminary character design sketches for Chihiro. No further details about the series were announced during this showcase.
The Rising of the Shield Hero Season 5 (2027)
The Rising of the Shield Hero Season 5 is confirmed to air on Crunchyroll next year. This new season will continue the story of Naofumi and his companions as they face an even greater threat.
Dengeki Daisy (2027)
Dengeki Daisy It was introduced in a trailer that premiered worldwide. The series is scheduled to premiere in 2027.
This anime is a new romantic comedy about an orphan who meets a mysterious hacker and gets swept up in the world of espionage.

Magical Buffs: The Support Caster Is Stronger Than He Realized! It is scheduled to air in January 2027. This fantasy anime follows Wim Strauss, a support caster who was expelled from his group but is given a new opportunity when he is invited to join an A-rank party.
The Vermilion Mask (October 2026)
The Vermilion Mask It will premiere in October 2026. The story follows Peru, an apprentice to the legendary mask-maker Gaston Roux, who sets out on a journey to destroy the dangerous masks scattered across the globe.
