SEGA announced that the Launch Preview version Football Manager 27 (FM27) will be available to play for free from October 30 through November 4, 2026. FM27 is scheduled to launch on November 11, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC (Steam, Epic, Windows), Mac, and Netflix.
You can download this free Launch Preview via Steam, Epic, the Microsoft Store, Xbox Game Pass, and PC Game Pass. No registration is required. Just download it from your preferred platform, and you can start making decisions as a manager right away.

Play for free in all modes from October 30 to November 4
During the free trial period, Launch Preview FM27 can be played with all game modes available. Making an annual game playable for free with all modes like this is believed to be a first in the industry.
This move continues Sports Interactive’s efforts to support its player community. That means this year, you can try out FM27 right away at no upfront cost.

Pre-sales are now open with a 10% discount
The FM27 pre-purchase window opens alongside the free-to-play period. Players who pre-purchase will receive a 10% discount and will still be able to access the Launch Preview from November 4–11, 2026.
This discount is only valid for purchases made through SEGA-approved digital retailers. Meanwhile, Game Pass subscribers can continue playing through their respective subscriptions.
Progress can be carried over to the full game
Any progress you make during the free period can be carried over to the paid Launch Preview if you pre-purchase the game. Your career story can also continue into the full version when FM27 launches on November 11, 2026, without having to start over from the beginning.
Please note that this Launch Preview version contains information that is still pending approval by the rights holders. Therefore, some data may not yet reflect actual conditions, and certain club and player assets may not yet be available.
