Try out 'Phantom Brave: The Lost Hero' at Tokyo Game Show 2024
The PlayEatSleep team actually got to try Phantom Brave: The Lost Hero when we visited the Tokyo Game Show (TGS) 2024. In a fairly short demo session, we tried out one of the stages presented in Phantom Brave: The Lost Hero. It's worth noting that this game falls into the AA class of games, so we don't expect the price and quality of content to be on par with big titles. Nevertheless, our experience with this game was unique.
The demo version at TGS 2024 was only available in Japanese, so we had to try and guess the features manually. Nevertheless, we quite enjoyed the gameplay presented in Phantom Brave: The Lost Hero. One of the most memorable is the difficulty level. Phantom Brave: The Lost Hero is very challenging for a tactical RPG filled with cute characters. The NPCs are aggressive and intelligent, forcing us to rack our brains when playing it.
The tactical RPG gameplay is also very thick and we actually feel like we are playing Front Mission or Kriegsfront Tactics where the robots are replaced by cute characters. Each character in the maps we tried in the demo also had unique abilities, so we also had to adapt and think about every move we made.
At the end of the demo, we were asked for our thoughts on the game and we only asked for one thing: "Release this game in English and bring it to PC". It seems that NIS heard our request!
