Anime April Showers Bring May Flowers is an adaptation of a seinen manga by Roku Sakura. The story centers on Hana Tabata, a high school student who is used to feeling like a side character in other people's lives. She spends her days reading romance manga and imagining herself as the main character. One day, she is caught daydreaming by the popular student in her class, Yosuke Ueno.
The latest trailer shows the interaction between Hana and Yosuke. The ending song used in this anime is titled "Souvenir", performed by Japanese rock band Glasgow.

This anime is adapted from the manga of the same name, April Showers Bring May Flowers (Busu ni Hanataba o), written and illustrated by Roku Sakura. The manga was serialized in the magazine Young Ace owned by Kadokawa Shoten from April 2016 to September 2022 and has been published in 12 volumes.
The English version of this manga has been licensed by Yen Press.
