Publisher ImaginationOverflow and developer Massive Galaxy Studios have announced the release schedule for the game ARC SEED on the PlayStation 5 console. Game which blends genres turn-based strategy with roguelike deckbuilder will soon be playable by console users after previously being available for PC.
ARC SEED Release Schedule and Pricing
ARC SEED is scheduled for release on PlayStation 5 on November 13th. The game will retail for $19.99 in the Americas, €19.99 in Europe, and ¥2,970 in Japan.
Before coming to consoles, the game has gone through several stages of release on the PC platform through Steam. Its Early Access phase begins on July 31, 2024, followed by the launch of the full version on September 17, 2025.
Basic Concept of ARC SEED Game
In ARC SEED, players take on the role of a Pilot who controls a Mech to defend the city from an attack by aliens called “Angels”. These enemies come from outer space using seed capsules (seed pods) with the aim of bringing destruction.
The player's main task is to upgrade Mechs, manage weapons and equipment, and build the ideal deck combination to survive the Archangels' attacks. In addition, players must also manage the city's defenses and ensure the population has enough time to evacuate.
Key Features and Game Mechanics
This game offers a number of mechanics that are at the core of its gameplay.
Here are the key features that have been announced:
- Mech Customization: There are three Mechs to choose from. Players can upgrade systems, weapons, and manage decks of cards to customize play styles.
- City Defense: Players can purchase support units such as Artillery, Tanks, and even other Mechs to help deal with incoming threats.
- Environmental Interaction: Buildings within the city can be utilized as part of the strategy. Players can push or pull buildings to create barriers, use them as cover, or destroy enemies between buildings.
- Population Evacuation: Saving civilians by ensuring they are successfully evacuated in time will earn rewards from the in-game government.
- Replay Feature: If the player fails to defend a city, the game will move on to another city that can still be saved, giving the player the element of replayability on the game.
ARC SEED's arrival on PlayStation 5 has been confirmed, giving console players who love the strategy genre a new option to look forward to come November.
