Bolt & Wahlington was officially announced as a new Metroidvania game to be released for PC via Steam. The game combines exploration of two character forms, a world rule manipulation system, as well as hand-drawn 2D visuals.
The beta version is scheduled to arrive in June 2025, while the final release schedule has yet to be announced by the developer.
Storyline in Bolt & Wahlington
In Bolt & WahlingtonIn Whalington, players control a Siamese cat named Bolt who lives inside Whalington, a mobile fortress that hovers above the ruins. The world in the game is designed as a mysterious place inhabited by strange devices and unique characters scattered across different zones.
Each area in the game is connected in a non-linear fashion, allowing players to explore various alternate paths and hidden rooms. On his journey, Bolt uncovers the secrets of a world built by and for cats.
Gameplay in Bolt & Wahlington
Bolt & Wahlington combines elements of platforming, action combat, and free exploration in the typical style of a Metroidvania game. Players can switch between two forms: as an agile cat or in an armed mech.
The cat form allows Bolt to climb walls, jump, and slip into tight spaces. While in mech mode, Bolt can take on enemies with combat power and destroy heavy obstacles. Players can also collect blueprints to assemble weapons and unlock new abilities useful in exploring the game world.
Bolt & Wahlington Key Features
This game provides a number of core features designed to support gameplay variety as well as expand exploration possibilities.

Bolt & Wahlington Release Schedule
Bolt & Wahlington is scheduled to release for PC via the Steam. There is currently no official launch date from Team Orca or OKJOY. However, the beta version is planned to be available in June 2025.
