For those of you who like rhythm games with anime style and unusual stories, UNBEATABLE is worth checking out. The latest demo is now available on PlayStation 5 via the PlayStation Store and on PC via Steam. It's a chance to experience first-hand the combination of story exploration and intense rhythmic challenge.
Beat Story
You'll play Beat, a pink-haired girl living under stressful conditions. The police are chasing her for no apparent reason, and the situation becomes even more complicated as she befriends people who are also being hunted. The world she lives in is filled with social tensions, unique interactions, and strange things-including mysterious creatures that are not yet clear what exactly they are.
Throughout the game, you can talk to other characters, choose to help them, or let things go. The choices you make will shape your personalized and emotional experience.
Gameplay and Rhythm Challenge
UNBEATABLE presents a blend of gameplay that is divided into the following main sections:
- Exploration: You are free to walk and interact with the various characters. In this part, the game moves at a quieter pace, giving you room to understand the world and its story.
- Rhythm gameplay: When you get to the main session, the gameplay turns into a rhythmic challenge using two buttons-up and down. Although the mechanics sound simple, the fast tempo and dynamic visuals make it challenging and adrenaline-pumping.
- Arcade mode: This mode can be played separately from the main story. Arcade mode has its own progression system, online leaderboards, as well as unique challenges suitable for players who want to focus on performance without being tied to the narrative.
