HoYoverse officially announced that Genshin Impact will receive a major update via Version 5.6 "Paralogism" at May 7, 2025. This update will introduce a new chapter in the main story, a theme park management event in Fontaine, as well as bring two new playable characters.
New Archon Quest Interlude: Threats at Windblume Festival
After a long time, players will return to Mondstadt to enjoy the Windblume Festival. However, the peaceful atmosphere changes drastically when Albedo took center stage in a mysterious trial. Together with Venti, Knights of Favonius, Dahlia, and Lady Alice from Hexenzirkel, Traveler must uncover the truth behind the new threat that has begun to attack the city.

New Event: Manage Fantasyland Movie Chevalmarin at Fontaine
Version 5.6 also introduced a theme park-themed management event in Fontaine, named Chevalmarin Movie Fantasyland. Together Navia and characters from Fontaine and Natlan, players will be tasked with managing three main rides:

- Movie Masterpieces
- Mellow Manor

New Characters: Escoffier and Ifa
This update brings two new characters ready to join the journey:
- Escoffier (5★ Cryo Polearm User): The former chef of Hotel Debord fights with a unique culinary style. With the help of All-Spectrum Multi-Use Cooking MekEscoffier can attack enemies, heal teammates, and reduce enemy Hydro and Cryo resistances.
- Ifa (4★ Anemo Catalyst User): Originally from Natlan, Ifa fights alongside a small dinosaur named Cacucu. He mastered the auto-healing technique and amplified Swirl and Electro-Charged damage thanks to the Nightsoul Points collected during battle.
Event Wish and Chronicled Wish
In the first phase of Event Wish, Escoffier, Navia, and Ifa will be available. While in the second phase, there will be Kinich and Raiden Shogun. In addition, Chronicled Wish back again, this time focusing on the 5-star characters from Inazuma.
