Blue Archivethe anime-style RPG strategy game from Nexon, announced two important updates to its global version, namely the launch of a PC version via Steam and the addition of a full voice actor for the main story. Releases on Steam in Summer 2025
Nexon confirmed that Blue Archive will be available on Steam in the summer of 2025. This is good news for players who are more comfortable playing the game on PC than mobile devices. This Steam version allows for more stable gameplay and sharper visuals, and opens up new opportunities for the global community to enjoy the game on larger screen formats.
During this time, Blue Archive is only available on Android and iOS. With the expansion to Steam, Nexon shows its seriousness in expanding the game's reach beyond the mobile market, especially for players who want to experience a more immersive gaming experience using a keyboard and mouse.
Main Story with Full Voiceover
Another major update is the addition of full voice-over for the main story in the global version. All the main dialog in the story will be read by professional voice actors in Korean. This feature includes not only the main story, but also tutorial sections and specific interactions with some characters such as Hina (Dress), Iori (Swimsuit), Aris, Yoshimi, and Pina.
This full voice-over feature aims to improve the narrative quality and provide a stronger cinematic experience for players. Previously, only the Japanese version of Blue Archive which provides this feature in full. Now, players of the global version can experience the depth of character and emotion of the story in a more vivid way.
It should be noted that this update only applies to the global version published by Nexon. The Japanese version and versions published in other regions by Yostar, such as China, are not included in this announcement. Nexon states that a separate announcement will be provided if there are any relevant changes for those versions.
