This delay is aimed at ensuring that the quality and gaming experience offered by inZoi truly meets the expectations of its fans.
Unique inZoi Concept
inZoi brings an interesting concept to the world of life simulation. As a player, you not only build your character's life, but also act as a "god" in the game, with full control to change and control various aspects of life in the inZoi world.
With the freedom given to the player, inZoi lets you create various life scenarios, from small things to big events that can shape your character and story.
This creative control feature has caught the attention of fans The Sims who seek new experiences in life simulations.
Reason for Delay
According to Hyungjun "Kjun" Kim, producer and director of inZoi, the decision to postpone was made after reviewing feedback from the demo. inZoi: Character Studio and data from play tests. The demo was introduced during the gamescom event, where thousands of players participated and provided important feedback for the game's development.
The great enthusiasm and support from the community at the event was an added push for the Krafton team to refine and perfect certain aspects of the game. The development team wants to ensure that inZoi will come with a strong foundation upon release.
The following is the full letter from Kjun, which gives the community an in-depth explanation of the reasons behind the delay as well as their philosophy in the development of inZoi:
Hi everyone,
I am Kjun, Producer & Director of inZoi. First of all, I would like to express my deep gratitude to inZoi fans around the world. Your love and enthusiasm means a lot to us. I was deeply touched by the overwhelming reception we received at gamescom, especially when I saw so many of you creating unique Zois during the demo period. inZoi: Character Studio.
At first, we were hesitant to introduce Canvas to the public, as we had no idea how many people would actually participate. However, the results have been amazing, with the number of submissions coming in. Seeing your immense involvement gives us great joy, and it's inspiring to see how deeply you connect with inZoi. Your feedback and insights make us realize our responsibility to provide the most complete experience for our players.
This message is about that awareness. After reviewing the feedback from inZoi: Character Studio and analyzing various data from play tests, we decided to release inZoi in Early Access on March 28, 2025. We apologize for not being able to bring the game sooner, but this decision reflects our commitment to giving inZoi the best possible start.
Some say that among primates, raising a human child to adulthood takes the longest because humans have to be ready to face and adapt to a constantly changing environment. The extra love and care required to raise a child to adulthood is how I see our journey with inZoi - a game that we will be co-developing from its Early Access launch. This release date change reflects our commitment to building a strong foundation for inZoi, so that we can start this journey in the best possible way.
Until the release date, we will continue to work on improving any aspects that require attention, striving to create a game that truly captures the essence of life simulation. Our goal is to provide an experience that fans can enjoy in the long run. We'll keep you updated on our progress, and we hope you'll stick with us on the journey to Early Access inZoi and beyond.
With love,
Kjun
