Adaptation anime from Kumako Hisama's manga provides a significant update for fans looking forward to it. The official staff released a new teaser trailer ahead of its scheduled airing in April. Ichijyoma Mankitsu Gurashi Story!
This anime carries a comedy genre with a Manga Cafe setting that has a slightly “adult” feel. The focus of the story centers on Meiko Morita, a girl who migrates from the countryside to Tokyo to attend an elite girls' academy. In order to get tuition-free facilities, Meiko must fulfill the requirements of doing volunteer work.
This led her to live and work at Hedgehog, a unique location that doubles as a girls' dormitory and Manga Cafe. It is here that Meiko must adapt to the other residents who have very eccentric personalities.
She meets Rie Amamiya, a wealthy heiress who serves as a cafe manager and dormitory keeper. Rie has a deep interest in Yuri and Boys Love genre manga. In addition, there is Marika Suzuki, the popular figure behind the “MuTube” streamer account named Marica Belltree. Another resident is Neo Nakano, a pro gamer who regularly competes in world championships.
New Characters in Ichijyoma Mankitsu Gurashi!
The staff introduced four supporting characters that will complement the interactions within the dormitory. Their presence is sure to add color to the storyline
The first character is Michika Narumi, a first-year student at a different high school than the main character, Meiko. Michika is said to work at the Cat Cafe, which is located in the same building as the Hedgehog dormitory.
Next up is Majikarumomorin Goda, an 18-year-old girl who due to certain circumstances ends up living in Hedgehog. The third character is Gao, a streamer who actively manages a channel called GaoChube.
Finally, there is Beruna, who has a unique role as a maid and secret spy working for Gao. This combination of new characters promises fresh comedic interactions with the old residents.

Studio PRA is entrusted with the full control of this anime production. Toshinori Watanabe, who has a track record in Tokyo Ghoul:re and Mix: Meisei Story, takes the position of Director. Kumako Hisama first launched her original manga in Kirara's Manga Time magazine in December 2018. The series continued to run until the fourth compilation book volume was officially sent to the market on July 26.
The interesting thing about this anime promotion strategy is the integration of fictional content into the real world. The character Marica Belltree has launched YouTube channel as a VTuber. He is scheduled to do his first livestream on February 17.
