About Magical Princess Minky Momo
Known as one of the icons of 80s anime, magical princess minky momo is a genre anime magical girl produced by Ashi Productions.
The series is an original project that first aired in 1982. The story follows Momo, a princess from the dreamland of Fenarinarsa, who is sent to the human world to restore humanity's hopes and dreams.
On Earth, Momo lives with a foster family and is accompanied by three pets: a dog, a monkey and a bird. She has magical powers that allow her to transform into adult versions of herself in various professions, depending on the situation at hand. Every time she successfully helps someone, Fenarinarsa's crown will shine and collect gems. If twelve gems are collected, her homeland will return to Earth's orbit.
Franchise magical princess minky momo consists of two television series, a number of OVAs, and one special short film. A reboot version aired in 1991 with new characters and settings, followed by several follow-up animated releases throughout the 80s and 90s.
