After the huge success of its initial release, Monster Hunter Wilds is gearing up for its first major update. Capcom has prepared a variety of exciting new content, from iconic monsters to competitive features that are ready to test your hunting skills.
Title Update 1 on April 4, 2025
Capcom has officially announced that Title Update 1 will be released on April 4, 2025 for free to all players. This update marks the first major update to Monster Hunter WildsThe second update is planned to come with the addition of new areas, additional monsters, a time-based challenge system, as well as cosmetic content. The second update is planned for Summer 2025.
Grand Hub

The Grand Hub is a new area that unlocks once you reach the Grand Hub. Hunter Rank 16It's the center of social activity for the Hunter. In this place, you can socialize with other players while trying out fun features like arm wrestling and minigame Barrel Bowling. To play this game, you need to collect vouchers that can be earned through login bonuses and other daily activities.
Aside from being a gathering place, the Grand Hub will also be a new location for Squad Information CounterThe area was previously located in the Windward Plains, so that the Hunters could manage their teams more easily. This area also has cultural significance to the people of Suja. At nightfall, you can witness Divas singing and dancing as a form of offering, bringing a unique and immersive atmosphere to the world of the Wilds.
Arena Quest and global ranking system
This update introduces two types of competitive missions: Arena Quest and Challenge Quest.
Arena Quest
Arena Quest lets you fight with predetermined equipment in teams of up to two Hunters. The goal is to complete the mission as quickly as possible. Once the Grand Hub is unlocked, you can view your world ranking via the Expedition Board located at the entrance to the area. Each Arena Quest is only available for a limited time.
Challenge Quest
The free Challenge Quest does not restrict equipment use and allows up to four Hunters on a team. If needed, you can add support Hunters. Both Arena and Challenge Quest will reward exclusive pendants based on participation, completion time, and position in the global rankings.
New challenges
This update also introduces three important monsters that add variety to the hunt.
Mizutsune
Mizutsune is a Leviathan-type monster that first appeared in Monster Hunter Generations and was also present at Monster Hunter Rise and Stories 2. This monster uses water and bubble-based attacks. You can unlock Mizutsune missions after talking to Kanya in Scarlet Forest, when you reach Hunter Rank 21. The Tempered version of Mizutsune will appear starting at Hunter Rank 41.
Arch-tempered Rey Dau
Arch-tempered Rey Dau will be available through a special mission starting on April 30, 2025, for players with Hunter Rank 50 and above. This monster offers a more difficult challenge and provides materials to craft the Rey Dau Gamma armor set.
Zoh Shia
Zoh Shia, the final boss of the game, can now be fought again in mode farm. This monster is known for its large-scale energy attacks and continuous explosions. To unlock access to this mission, you need to complete the Dragontorch quest and reach Hunter Rank 50. This hunt allows you to obtain materials for crafting final-tier gear.
Festival of Accord seasonal event: Blossomdance

The flower-themed seasonal festival, Festival of Accord: Blossomdance, will take place from April 23 to May 7, 2025 at Grand Hub. During this event, the decorations and food menu will change. You can also get limited equipment such as new gestures and pop-up camp decorations that are only available during the event period.
Free content and new cosmetics
In this update, Capcom adds free content for all players. You can get a new costume for your character Alma, and after completing certain side missions, Alma's appearance and glasses can also be changed. Some classic gestures from the series Monster Hunter will be available again in the store for free.

In addition, Capcom will also release a paid Cosmetic DLC Pack 1 that includes additional outfits and new gear for the camp. With a combination of free and paid content, this update provides more personalization options for players.
