Amazing Seasun Games announced the "Global Storm" Open Beta Test for Mecha BREAK which will begin on February 23rd at 5pm GMT. This beta phase is available for free to all players on PC via Steam. Players can try out a variety of key in-game features, including 6v6, 3v3 modes, as well as the new PvPvE mode "Mashmak" which brings battles with more complex strategy elements.

"Global Storm" Open Beta Content

All the key features that will be available at full release can be tried out in this beta phase, including:

  • Opening and introduction tutorial to understand the game mechanics.
  • Character and Striker customization, allowing players to customize the appearance as well as the capabilities of the mech.
  • Explorable space station, serving as a hub before the battle.
  • Three main modes: Operation VERGE (6v6), Ace Arena (3v3), and Mashmak, a PvPvE mode that combines battles against AI and opposing teams.
  • Practice room to hone skills before a fight.
  • Thirteen unique Strikers, each with a different combat style.

Updates in this beta also include adjustments to Striker balance, player reputation system, battle completion moves, as well as new customization options for pilots and mechs. Maps in 6v6 and 3v3 modes have been updated, providing a more dynamic combat experience.

PvPvE Mode "Mashmak" Officially Introduced

One of the latest additions in Global Storm is Mashmak, a PvPvE mode that features strategic battles between players, AI, and opposing teams. Set on Mashmak Isle, the region holds Eruptive Inorganic Carbide (EIC) or "Corite", a valuable resource at the center of the conflict.

Theia's Vanguard, the organization that now controls the region, is acting aggressively to cause Corite instability, triggering a destructive storm that has the potential to destroy everything. The battle for control of the archipelago continues, creating additional challenges for every Striker pilot involved.

New Gear for Striker Pilots

To take on the challenges of Mashmak Isle, this Open Beta also features new weapons and equipment, including:

  • Modular weapons that can be collected during the battle.
  • Armed glider for air mobility and more flexible attacks.
  • Diverse combat rolesThese include healing, sniping, suppressive fire, and melee combat.

As combat progresses, more and more advanced weapons and equipment can be used to increase combat effectiveness.

Release Schedule and Plan

Mecha BREAK will be released on Steam and Xbox App for Windows PC, with an exclusive console launch on Xbox Series X|S in Spring 2025. The game will also be released on more platforms in 2025.
