SEGA officially presents the latest content for Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds through the Mega Man Pack DLC. At the same time, the Nintendo Switch 2 Physical Edition version also goes on sale as of March 26, 2026.
Through this update, players not only get additional characters and new trajectories from Mega Man, but can also play the game on Nintendo Switch 2 through the version of physical with visual enhancements as well as higher frame rates.
Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds Mega Man Pack and Nintendo Switch 2 Physical Edition Come Together

Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds Mega Man Pack and Nintendo Switch 2 Physical Edition are in the spotlight, as SEGA released both at almost the same time. For the Mega Man Pack DLC, this content brings iconic elements from the Mega Man series right into the Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds. The contents of this DLC include:

SEGA also confirmed that this package is available now through the Season Pass or Digital Deluxe Edition. So, if you already have access to either of these packages, you can play this crossover content right away.
Mega Man and Proto Man Officially Join the Race Track

The presence of Mega Man and Proto Man is the main attraction in this DLC. They're not just cut-and-paste characters, as SEGA also brings Mega Man's iconic identity through special vehicles and a Wily Castle-themed circuit.
Wily Castle itself has the potential to be one of the most exciting tracks in Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, especially for longtime players familiar with the classic Mega Man feel. SEGA has also added some legendary music that can be played through the Jukebox, making the collaborative atmosphere even stronger. Some of the added songs include:

Mega Man Festival Starts March 27, 2026

To celebrate the launch of the DLC, SEGA is also holding a collaboration event titled Mega Man Festival in the game. This event is scheduled to take place starting:
- March 27, 2026, 8 a.m.
- until March 30, 2026, at 07:59 (UTC+8)
In these events, players will be divided into one of three teams and compete to accumulate the most points. Each race offers different challenges, such as performing the most Touch Boosts or completing other special objectives.
SEGA mentions that the event prizes include festival-exclusive rewards, although these items will likely become available again through future updates. This means that the event is still worth participating in, but those of you who missed out may still have a chance to get your hands on the rewards in future events.
Nintendo Switch 2 Physical Edition is Now on Sale

In addition to the DLC, SEGA also announced that the Nintendo Switch 2 Physical Edition for Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds will be available starting March 26, 2026. This complements the digital version that was previously released on December 4, 2025.
This version of the Nintendo Switch 2 offers some notable improvements, most notably to:
- better graphics
- Higher frame rate
- Optimized gaming experience on new hardware
If you've previously purchased the Nintendo Switch version, SEGA also provides an upgrade option to the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition through the purchase of an Upgrade Pack, so you don't have to buy the game from scratch. However, there are some important notes you need to know:
- Nintendo Switch 2 version game content is no different from other platforms
- Save data from the Nintendo Switch version can be transferred
- If played on a regular Nintendo Switch console, performance will follow the standard Switch version
- Nintendo Switch version supports local wireless play for up to 8 players
Free Demo Update Also Available

SEGA didn't stop at DLC and physical releases. They also released a free demo update for Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds. In this latest demo, Extreme Gear Machines are now available to try out. The free demo can be played on the following platforms:
- PlayStation 5
- Nintendo Switch
- Xbox Series X|S
- Steam
- Epic Games Store
Through the demo, players can try out machine customization, install different gadgets, and then test them in Grand Prix and Time Trial modes. Interestingly, save data from the demo can also be transferred to the full game once you purchase the full version.
However, SEGA notes that this demo update only applies to the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, and Epic Games Store versions.
