Game farm life simulation tropical theme titled Starsand Island is coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam in winter 2025. Its visuals inspired by the works of Studio Ghibli as well as its approach that emphasizes convenience makes this game a new highlight from the developer Seed Lab.

This information was announced at the Galaxies showcase, an inaugural event streamed live via Twitch on April 17. The event featured more than 50 titles from major publishers and ambitious indie developers, including the latest trailer for Starsand Island.
Producer Seed Lab, Richardo Wang, said, "We are very excited to reintroduce the Starsand Island to the world and showcased our new trailer in the inaugural series of Galaxies showcase. This is a very meaningful project for our team, and we can't wait to show you the world we're building. Galaxies feels like the right place to share the new direction Starsand Island and the journey that lies ahead."
Golton Gao, another producer, added, "We have put so much love into designing an experience that emphasizes comfort, creativity, and connection. Starsand Island is the kind of game we wish we could have played as kids-a quiet space where players can express themselves, explore at their own pace, and build something meaningful, either alone or with friends."
Starsand Island Concept and Gameplay
Starsand Island features a peaceful tropical setting, with elements of leisurely living combined with open-ended exploration. Players can garden, fish, dive, build houses and explore new areas on and around the island. In addition, the game also features social interaction through the NPC characters that inhabit the island.
The game design focuses on a slow and personalized play experience, giving players the freedom to shape their own lives in a warm and colorful virtual world.
