His duties include building and managing provinces in different regions, ranging from Latium, the center of the empire, to the alien Albion region, filled with forested wetlands that have yet to be fully conquered. You can choose to adopt local culture such as Celtic traditions or go full-on romanization. These choices affect various aspects such as the architectural style, belief system and social life of the province's citizens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Game strategies include economic development, resource management, trade, diplomacy between governors, and military expansion. Players can develop a small settlement into a metropolis complete with typical Roman structures such as the colosseum and forum. The lives of citizens are dynamically portrayed, from children playing to crowds in the city center.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Almost any territory visible on the game map can be built upon.
