This series is written by <em>Akai Matsuri<\/em> and illustrated by <em>Tozai<\/em>. The novel was originally published as a web novel in January 2017 and began physical publication by <em>Overlap Bunko<\/em> since November 2017. The manga adaptation was done by <em>Hiroyuki Aigamo<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Light novels and manga <em>My Status as an Assassin Obviously Exceeds the Hero's<\/em> has been licensed in English by <em>Seven Seas Entertainment<\/em>. Story follows <em>Akira Oda<\/em>, a student who was summoned to another world with his entire class. He gains a very high starting status and takes on the role of an assassin. Akira later discovers irregularities in the summoning and investigates the secrets behind the kingdom's actions.
