Its performance was solid enough to rank 8th at the box office on its opening weekend. In the first three days of screening, the film managed to gross 102,666,040 yen or around US$694,700.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After its release in Japan, the movie began to be distributed to global markets. Its reputation was built through various festivals, including the world premiere at Annecy in June and the screening by GKIDS in North America in mid-October. Indonesian audiences also had the opportunity to watch the film in local cinema chains on November 7. The story follows Togashi, someone who was born to run. Since childhood, he has had an incredible natural talent and has always won 100-meter races without much difficulty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, things started to change when he was in the sixth grade. Togashi met Komiya, a transfer student. Komiya is portrayed as very determined but lacking in running technique.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Togashi then taught Komiya running techniques. Without realizing it, Togashi gave Komiya a new purpose in life, which was to win at all costs. As the years passed, the two characters met again on the running track.
