This award-winning novel about the meeting of two characters with contrasting backgrounds is finally getting an anime series adaptation. The story follows Kakeru Sorano, a freshman who tends to shut himself off from socializing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One spring night, her dorm mate Narumi invites her to a welcome party. It is there that she meets Koharu Fuyutsuki, a blind girl who is the complete opposite of her; Koharu is always cheerful and full of dreams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Their interaction grew closer after Kakeru helped Koharu with her white cane after class. Their relationship slowly thawed until one day Koharu expressed a simple yet meaningful wish: \u201cI want to see fireworks.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That sentence became a light for Kakeru, who had been reluctant to look to the future. Since its release in August 2023, the novel has won the Grand Prize at the 15th GA Bunko Awards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, this work was also ranked #3 in the new title category at <em>Kono Light Novel ga Sugoi! 2024<\/em>. This achievement shows the strong quality of the story before it was lifted to the animated format.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Before the anime version, this story has been adapted into <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/AWQCPCQC9N4\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">live-action series<\/a> in December 2025 and the manga on Manga UP! Square Enix.
