The city was chosen because it has a very active Pokemon GO community, with more than 1,141 trainers recorded as active players.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to Refael Siregar, Niantic, Inc.'s APAC Lead of Emerging Markets, \"We saw tremendous enthusiasm from Trainers when we held our Pikachu's Indonesia Journey series last year. The reception we received proved that the Pokemon GO community in Indonesia is very active, solid, and growing. Therefore, this year we want to reach out to more of our Trainer friends in more areas.\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Via <em>Pikachu's Indonesia Journey<\/em>Niantic seeks to get closer to local communities in various regions. The event is open to the public and does not require admission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Various activities have been prepared for visitors, including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Meet &amp; Greet with Pikachu in batik shirt<\/strong>, complete with parades and dance performances (<em>Dance Show<\/em>)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Official Pokemon merchandise booth<\/strong>with various Indonesian-themed collections<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Kids Carnival Zone<\/strong>a place where children can play and interact<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>In-game activities<\/strong>such as Timed Research and Collection Challenge which are only available during the event.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Pokemon TCG tutorial class<\/strong>for visitors who want to get to know the official card game<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Pokemon GO Powerbank Station<\/strong>, to charge the device during play<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>With these various activities, <em>Pikachu's Indonesia Journey<\/em> presents a community space that supports cross-age interaction, while providing a comfortable and fun play experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Koleksi_Spesial_Pikachu_Berkemeja_Batik\"><\/span>Special Collection of Pikachu in Batik Shirt<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>One of the main highlights of the event was the appearance of Pikachu in a batik shirt, both in the live event and as a catchable Pokemon in the game. This version is a special edition that is only available during the event in selected cities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This edition was first introduced in <em>Pikachu's Indonesia Journey<\/em> last year and instantly became a community favorite. Pikachu in a batik shirt symbolizes the collaboration between Indonesia's cultural identity and the world of Pokemon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After Medan, <em>Pikachu's Indonesia Journey<\/em> will continue to Bekasi, Bandung, Semarang, and Palembang.
