SEGA announced Yakuza 0 Director's Cut to Nintendo Switch 2. This version brings additional content in the form of a new mode called Red Light Raid which is accessible from the start of the game and supports multiple ways of playing.
Yakuza 0 Director's Cut
Yakuza 0 Director's Cut is scheduled to be released alongside the launch of Nintendo Switch 2. This game supports subtitles in Japanese, English, Traditional Chinese and Simplified Chinese. Voiceover is also available in all three languages. Additional content such as Red Light Raid is a major part of this version.
This mode is available right after starting the game, without the need to complete the main story first.
Red Light Raid

Red Light Raid is a mission mode that contains battles against waves of enemies until reaching the boss at the end of each stage. This mode is designed to be playable according to the player's preferences.

There are three mode options in Red Light Raid:
- Raid Online: play cooperatively with players from all over the world.
- Raid with Friends: play with friends in local teams or online.
- Raid Solo: play offline with the CPU character as a partner.
Players will earn in-game money after completing missions. The money can be used to unlock new characters and strengthen existing ones.
Gameplay
Red Light Raid expand the gameplay in Yakuza 0 Director's Cut through character variety, combat system, and strategic arena design.

Over 60 Playable Characters
Players can choose from over 60 characters. These include Kazuma Kiryu, Goro Majima, Daisaku Kuze, Hiroki Awano, Keiji Shibusawa, and Homare Nishitani. Characters from Coliseum and substory is also available as a playable character.
Fighting Styles and Special Attacks
Each character has a different fighting style. Some use quick punches, sharp weapons, or ranged attacks. Players can activate special attack with the A button, which has effects such as penetrating defenses or using nearby objects as weapons.
Red Light Rage Mode
Features Red Light Rage Mode can be activated when the fist-shaped icon is lit. When active, characters get an increase in attack speed, resistance against knockdown, and protection from HP reduction to zero.
Character Development with Money
Money earned from battles and objectives can be used to unlock new characters or level up existing ones.
Iconic Arena from Yakuza 0
Location used in Red Light Raid taken from familiar areas in Yakuza 0, such as Dojima Family Headquarters, Carabet Grand, and Tojo Clan Headquarters. Each arena has structures that can be used for combat strategies, such as narrow alleys and open areas.
