Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties - Game Trailer
The game will launch on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam). And, you should know that the Xbox Series X|S and Steam versions are available in digital format only.
To summarize, what is this DLC?

The Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties DLC is basically made to enrich the game experience, especially if you're the type of player who likes a variety of styles and more interesting cosmetic details.
Additional content includes extra outfits for Kazuma Kiryu, additional crew members that can be used in Bad Boy Dragon mode, more customization options for bikes, uniforms, and flip phones, and a BGM CD with your favorite karaoke songs as background music during your adventures.
In essence, this DLC doesn't change the story of the game, but it does add more interesting details and fan service for longtime players.
Base Game, Deluxe Edition, or Deluxe Upgrade?
SEGA has divided Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties into several package variants so you can choose according to your needs. Here are the types of game packs:
- Base Game contains two games in one package: a remake Yakuza Kiwami 3 and new adventures Dark Ties.
- Then there are Deluxe Edition (digital-only) that combines the base game with Deluxe Upgrade.
- While Deluxe Upgrade is an add-on package containing several DLC packs ranging from additional characters, outfits, customizations, to BGMs that you can purchase as upgrades to expand the day-one content.
Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties DLC (Deluxe Upgrade)

Within the Deluxe Upgrade, you'll find several packs with different focuses. For example:
- The Legendary Lads & Gals Pack adds Like a Dragon characters such as Daigo Dojima and Goro Majima (and others) as additional members for the Bad Boy Dragon in Yakuza Kiwami 3. If you prefer Kiryu's style, the Legendary Character Outfit Pack brings an array of extra outfits including outfit sets inspired by the previous series, as well as original T-shirts designed specifically for Kiwami 3.
- For those of you who like to change your outfit, Ryukyu Gal Gang: Customization Pack is a great choice as it gives the feel of a “baddie” uniform and motorcycle design, with themes of popular characters such as Kazuma Kiryu and Ichiban Kasuga.
- There are also Flip Phone Customization Pack which contains lock screen options, designs, and decorations (stickers, antennas, straps) to make your flip phone feel more “Like a Dragon”.
- Last but not least, Legendary BGM CD Pack gives you the option to play a classic karaoke track as background music during exploration-a small detail that usually makes the game's vibe stickier.
There are unlock conditions in the game (not all of them activate automatically)
Some DLC can only be used after features are unlocked through story progression. For example, additional outfits can only be used after the outfit system is unlocked, flip phone customization is only active after you get the phone at the beginning of the story, while BGM CDs can only be used after the CD feature is unlocked.
For Bad Boy Dragon-related content, you'll also need to achieve certain mode progresses to unlock access, including reaching certain upgrade stages to allow customization of bikes and uniforms.
In addition, most of the DLC (except Legendary BGM CD Pack) can only be used in Yakuza Kiwami 3, not in Dark Ties. Also, items that you purchase as DLC, such as outfits, gang members, CDs, and customization items, will not count towards certain training challenges or achievements.
SEGA also reminds you to be careful not to buy the same content twice, so it's best to double-check the package contents and details on the store page before checkout.
If you still want to “try before you buy”, SEGA has prepared a free demo for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam. The demo is meant to give you a taste of Yakuza Kiwami 3 as well as Dark Ties, including area exploration, minigames, combat, and a sample of the substory that usually characterizes the series.
Pre-order bonus: Ichiban Kasuga as a gang member

For those of you who intend to pre-order, there is a pretty interesting bonus: Ichiban Kasuga can be worn as a gang member in fashion Bad Boy Dragon, A new mode that features team vs. team combat. These bonuses will be bundled in the physical version for a limited time, while for the digital version you need to pre-order before February 11, 2026 at 22:59 (UTC+8) in order to keep getting the bonus.
With Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties, SEGA put two interesting things in one release. Yakuza Kiwami 3 brings Kiryu back into action with a focus on protecting those he cares about, complete with intense combat, more modern depictions of Tokyo and Okinawa, additional cutscenes, and minigames that breathe life into the series.
While Dark Ties puts Yoshitaka Mine at the center of the story, tracing his transformation from startup entrepreneur to yakuza figure hardened by circumstance. On top of that foundation, Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties DLC comes as a launch day sweetener that adds cooler outfits, customization, and fan service. Interested in purchasing?
