Concept and Story of Hono Gurashi no Niwa

Hono Gurashi no Niwa was developed by the team behind the Yomawari series, with Yu Mizokami as the lead designer. The story begins when the main character, a young boy, gets lost in the mountains and is rescued by the villagers of Kagatsu. With no place to live, the protagonist is offered the chance to live in the village on the condition of helping the village life. This is where the adventure of simple living begins.

Key Features Offered

This game features various activities typical of the Japanese countryside. Players can farm, raise farm animals such as chickens, cows and horses, and enjoy activities such as fishing and hunting. More than 80 types of plants, fruits, and flowers can be cultivated on personal farms. The crops and livestock can be processed into products such as cheese and mayonnaise, adding variety to the gameplay.

In addition, Hono Gurashi no Niwa offers an in-depth crafting system. Players can collect materials, create tools, and decorate houses and gardens with more than 1,500 items that can be placed. The old house given at the beginning of the game can be transformed into a dream home with the help of the village carpenter.
