Bandai Namco Entertainment Asia will be hosting event The official launch of ACE COMBAT 8: WINGS OF THEVE in Singapore. The event will take place from October 7 to 11, 2026, at Orchard Central. Visitors can try out the game, participate in physical challenges, and take photos with special guests.
This event is open to the public. Bandai Namco is hosting this event to celebrate the release of ACE COMBAT 8: WINGS OF THEVE. This game is the first mainline entry in the ACE COMBAT series in seven years.
Event schedule and location at Orchard Central
The event takes place daily from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Singapore Time (SGT). The event is located at Stage Area, in front of the Molly Tea shop at Orchard Central.
Orchard Central is a shopping mall in the Orchard Road area. The event will run for five days, from Wednesday through Sunday. It begins five days after the official release of ACE COMBAT 8: WINGS OF THEVE on October 2, 2026.
For those of you living in Singapore or visiting there on those dates, this event offers the chance to try out the game in person.
Try Mission 1 and Mission 4 right away
In the hands-on play area, visitors can play two missions from the game. Those missions are Mission 1 and Mission 4. This means you can get a feel for the gameplay of ACE COMBAT 8: WINGS OF THEVE before deciding whether to buy the game.
Bandai Namco has also set up an immersive zone. In this area, visitors can take photos at several ACE COMBAT 8-themed photo spots. In addition, visitors can receive exclusive freebies. However, the number of freebies is limited, and they will be distributed only while supplies last.
The Hanging Bar Challenge to test physical strength
Another activity at this event is the ACE COMBAT 8: WINGS OF THEVE Hanging Bar Challenge. This challenge tests the participants’ physical strength. Participants with the best results can reach the top of the leaderboard and win prizes.
This challenge isn’t available every day of the event. The Hanging Bar Challenge will only take place from October 9 to 11, 2026. So, choose the right date for your visit if you want to take part in this challenge.
Schedule for the two guest stars
This event also features two special guests. Visitors can meet them and take photos with them.
Each guest star will appear on a different day, according to the following schedule:
- momoko_pigsfly: Wednesday and Thursday, October 7–8, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. SGT
- djharuharuka: Friday through Sunday, October 9–11, 2026, from 1:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. SGT
The schedules for the two guest stars are different. Therefore, be sure to come on the correct day and at the correct time.
The first mainline series in seven years
The previous mainline title was ACE COMBAT 7: SKIES UNKNOWN, released in 2019. ACE COMBAT 8: WINGS OF THEVE was developed using Unreal Engine 5. The game also utilizes Bandai Namco’s proprietary technology. This combination is used to deliver more realistic aerial combat visuals.
In this game, you’ll fly a variety of modern fighter jets. The clouds, terrain, and landscapes are rendered in high detail. Bad weather also adds an extra challenge as you navigate through the air.
This game also features many cinematic scenes. You can watch some of these scenes from a first-person perspective. This feature is designed to make the game's story feel more immersive.
