Official website for the anime adaptation Always a Catch! has finally provided the latest information regarding this adaptation. The information includes the release of the main promotional video as well as confirmation regarding the airing schedule.
Schedule and Theme Song of Always a Catch!
Based on the latest announcement, anime is scheduled to premiere in April. Along with the news, key visuals and a new promotional video (PV) have been released to give viewers a visual overview.
The video also includes the opening theme song “Chikai wa Kyun to.” The song is performed by a collaboration between HoneyWorks feat. Airi Suzuki. This song will be the opening theme song for each episode when it airs.
Always a Catch Story!
The story of Always a Catch! centers on Maria, the daughter of a duke. She grew up believing she would inherit her father's title, so she focused on honing her martial arts and ignored marriage. However, her position as heir is lost after the birth of her younger brother.
When Maria finally decides to find a partner, she realizes that she is too late. While studying abroad, a prince mistakenly breaks off an engagement with her-an engagement that never existed. After the misunderstanding is cleared up, the prince sees Maria's ability to defeat a group of bandits and becomes attracted to her.

The production of this anime was done at TROYCA studio with the direction of director Akira Oguro, who was previously known through Giant Beasts of Ars. The series script is handled by Michiko Yokote (Call of the Night), while the character designs were created by Isamu Suzuki (Shinobi no Ittoki).

About Always a Catch!
The series began as a short story by Mayo Momoyo on the website “Shosetsuka ni Naro” in 2020. Square Enix then published a light novel version with illustrations by Mito starting in 2021. The sixth volume of the novel went on sale on November 7.
A manga adaptation by Kaki Nagato has also been running on Square Enix's Manga UP! service since April 2022. The ninth volume of the manga was also released on November 7. In addition to Manga UP! Global, the manga is also digitally published in English through BookWalker Global Store and Comikey.
