Killed Again, Mr. Detective? has officially revealed the main trailer, new visuals, and opening song details ahead of its premiere on April 2, 2026.

Latest trailer anime played the opening song titled Stardust Eureka hosted by Multidimensional Control Mechanism YODAKA. The name is the solo project of a former FISHLIFE member, Naohiro Hayashi. New visuals were also released along with this trailer.

Killed Again, Mr. Detective? Lift the Mystery with Repeat Deaths

This anime is adapted from the light novel by Teniwoha with illustrations by Riichu. The story follows Sakuya Otsuki, the son of a legendary detective who wants to follow in his father's footsteps. In his investigation, he is accompanied by his assistant, Lilithea.

The main premise centers on Sakuya who keeps getting involved in murder cases as a victim. Each time he is killed, he will come back to life and continue the investigation with Lilithea. One of the cases introduced starts off as an investigation on a luxury yacht, then develops into a bigger and bloodier incident.

About Killed Again, Mr. Detective?

Killed Again, Mr. Detective? (Mata Korosarete Shimatta no desu ne, Tantei-sama) comes from the light novel by Teniwoha with illustrations by Riichu. This series began publication on the label MF Bunko J courtesy of Media Factory on August 2021. To date, the novel series has reached Volume 6, which is sent on November 25.

A manga adaptation drawn by Inaba start serialization on July 2022. The manga ends on March 2024 and graduated in compilation volume 2.

For the English release, the manga version was licensed by Yen Press. Volume 1 published on August 26while Volume 2 which became the final volume published in January 20th.

With the latest details now announced, the anime presents a more complete picture ahead of its debut on April 2, 2026. The previously published light novel and manga also provide a clear setting for this anime TV adaptation.
