The World’s Finest Assassin Is Reincarnated in Another World as an Aristocrat Season 2 has officially unveiled the main trailer and the latest key visual. The anime has also set its premiere date for January 2027. Previously, the project had only shared a teaser video confirming a 2027 premiere.
The World of the Shadow Killer and the New Enemy That Awaits
This story follows the world’s number-one assassin who is reincarnated as the eldest son of a noble family of assassins. A goddess imposes one condition on his reincarnation: he must kill the Hero prophesied to destroy the world. His experience and assassination skills from the modern world, combined with the secret techniques of the noble assassin family, make him the greatest assassin of all time.
Season 2 introduces Epona, the Hero and eldest son of the Rhiannon family. Epona possesses immense physical and magical power, with 30 S- and A-rank skills that make him nearly invincible. As a Hero, Epona is the only character capable of defeating demons and the Demon Lord, and is also the target of Lugh’s assassination attempt.
Another new character, Neusch, entered the Royal Knights Academy’s Class S with a top ranking equal to Lugh’s. He is the legitimate son of the Duke of Gefis—one of the four great ducal families—and is known for his excellence in both academics and combat. Neusch is also described as ambitious and wants to make Lugh and Tarte his subordinates in the future.

This anime is adapted from a light novel by Rui Tsukiyo, the author Healer's Redo, with illustrations by Reia. The novel was first published on the Shosetsuka ni Naro website before being published by Kadokawa in February 2019. Yen Press holds the license for the English-language version, and the story has also been adapted into a manga by Hamao Sumeragi.
