This anime tells the story of Hana, a girl who dreams of becoming a letter carrier like Dragonite. One day, she found a letter without a return address. Together with her partner, Fuecoco, Hana tries to find the owner of the letter. In her search, she meets a boy named Rio, who apparently wrote the letter to celebrate his father's birthday. However, his father is working in Kanto, and his birthday falls on the same day.

The anime is about a pivotal moment in someone's life, something that CoMix Wave Films often focuses on. With the studio's signature visual approach, Kairyu to Yubinyasan is expected to bring a strong emotional atmosphere.
