Netflix released the first trailer for Devil May Cry Season 2 as well as announcing its schedule for 2026. This information was made public at Anime NYC, just months after Season 1 aired on Netflix in April 2025.
Devil May Cry and the Latest Adaptation
The franchise originated from action-adventure and hack-and-slash games developed by Capcom. The story centers on Dante, a demon hunter with supernatural abilities who faces threats from the demon world.
Adaptation anime was announced in September 2023 as a collaborative project between Capcom, Studio Mir, and producer Adi Shankar. Season 1 was released on Netflix in April 2025, and the continuation of the story is now confirmed with Season 2 scheduled to air in 2026.

The voice cast list for Season 2 has been published with the following details:

- Hoon Lee as White Rabbit
- Kevin Conroy as VP Baines

This voice cast will continue the roles of the main characters in the Netflix animated series.
Comparison With Previous Anime Adaptations
Before this latest project from Netflix, the popular Capcom series was adapted into an anime by Studio Madhouse in 2007. The series amounted to 12 episodes with a story focus on Dante's activities as a demon hunter. The 2007 adaptation was the first step in bringing the game world to an animated format.
