Anime ONE PIECE has a new surprise for its viewers. Japanese rock band ELLEGARDEN was announced as the new opening song that will be used in the upcoming episode.

"Carmine" New Song ONE PIECE by ELLEGARDEN

ELLEGARDEN performed the opening of the new ONE PIECE anime with the song "Carmine." The song will be used in the episode airing on August 10 at 23:15 JST, and the digital version is released on the same day at 23:45 JST.

The creation of the song was handled by Takeshi Hosomi, guitarist and vocalist of ELLEGARDEN. He is a longtime fan of ONE PIECE and accepted the offer to work on this theme song. Although ELLEGARDEN's music has been used in anime before, "Carmine" is the first song written specifically as a theme song for anime.

The latest song snippet and opening visuals are featured in a promotional video that has been released on ONE PIECE's official YouTube channel.
