Fall 2026 brings the adventure genre with four titles featuring distinct storylines. You’ll find everything from epic war tales and humorous isekai stories to a post-pandemic world full of danger.
4. Magical Explorer: Reborn as a Side Character in a Fantasy Dating Sim
Magical Explorer: Reborn as a Side Character in a Fantasy Dating Sim (Magical★Explorer) tells the story of a die-hard fan of the adult game Magical Explorer who is reincarnated. He wakes up in the body of Kousuke Takioto, the protagonist’s best friend and an unfortunate comic relief character.
He knew the ins and outs of the game by heart. He also discovered that Kousuke had a unique ability: a scarf that could function as a fist.
He was determined to turn Kousuke—the unluckiest character in the game—into the most popular one. With his knowledge of that game world, nothing was impossible for him.
3. #I’m Looking For a Zombie
#I’m Looking For a Zombie (#Zombie Sagashitemasu) is set in a world that has lost 90 percent of its human population due to a deadly plague. The victims of the plague rise again as zombies that attack only humans.
The collapse of civilization is known as Red Day. Thirteen years later, the survivors live far from the major cities and still hope to reclaim them someday.
A new generation that has never known a world before Red Day is now coming of age. The story begins when Aki, Haru, and Natsuki set out to find Aki’s missing father.
2. The Laid-Off Mage Who Granted Cheats Gets a Second Chance at Life
The Laid-Off Cheat-Granting Mage Enjoys a Second Lease on Life (The Fired Cheat-Granting Mage Embraces a Carefree Second Life. I Can’t Just Enhance Weapons—I Can Grant “Enhancement Points” to All Kinds of Items, and With My Stone, I Can Boost Their Effects at Any Time, But, Are the People Left Behind Okay?) tells the story of Rein, an enchanter who enhances equipment with his magic. The guild suddenly expelled Rein because all of the guild’s equipment was already strong enough.
Rein was furious at the way he’d been treated. He withdrew the massive amount of mana he’d previously infused into the guild’s equipment. He then channeled that mana into an ordinary copper sword, and the sword transformed into a cheat weapon with 10,000 enhancement points.
Rein has no combat experience, but his magic can turn any object into overpowered gear. He set out to become an adventurer to enjoy a new, carefree, and free-spirited life.
1. Suikoden: The Anime
Suikoden: The Anime (Genso Suikoden) tells the story of two friends, Riliu and Jowy. The two join the Highland Kingdom’s youth brigade, a powerful military nation in the northeastern part of the Dunan region.
Riliu and Jowy slept in the same tent and gazed at the same starry sky. They were certain that life would return to normal once the war ended, and they envisioned the same future.
Reality tells a different story. The flames of war dragged them into the vortex of fate, and those two powerless children ended up gaining immense power. As 108 stars shone in the dark sky, they each set out with their own convictions to answer a question that had no definite answer.
