Final Fantasy VII Revelation (Square Enix)

Players will explore a vast world aboard the airship Highwind, with seamless transitions from the sky to the ground via a parachuting mechanic.

The two newly confirmed regions are the Mideel Region (a tropical rainforest with high humidity) and the Wutai Region (a ninja town featuring distinctive Japanese red-wood architecture). Each region is designed with rich visual detail to reflect its unique culture and ecosystem.

New Characters: Vincent Valentine and Cid Highwind

Two iconic characters from Final Fantasy VII Orisinal has finally joined as a fully playable party member:

  • Vincent Valentine (voiced by Matt Mercer): A quick-draw shooter with deadly feral transformation abilities
  • Cid Highwind (voiced by J. Michael Tatum): A skilled pilot with spear-based attacks and an aggressive fighting style

The addition of these two characters rounds out the party roster that has been in place since Final Fantasy VII Remake (2020) and Final Fantasy VII Rebirth (2024). With a full party, players can now experience more diverse team dynamics in every battle.

New Combat System: FITS

Square Enix has introduced a new combat system called FITS to Final Fantasy VII: Revelation. This system allows players to change their fighting style by equipping character costumes, unlocking unique abilities such as Warrior or Black Mage.

Weapon and materia customization remains available to provide greater strategic depth for players who want to maximize each character’s potential.

A new enemy named Weapons — colossal planetary guardians awakened by the threat of a meteor — will be one of the main challenges in this game. Battles against the Weapons are sure to be epic moments that will push players to their limits.
