Gachiakuta World Takeover
Crunchyroll has officially launched a campaign titled Gachiakuta World Takeover, a global initiative in collaboration with Bones, Kodansha, and Avex. This campaign introduces the anime as a potential shonen next big thing, with a visual approach inspired by graffiti elements and a unique underworld feel.

Panel at Anime Expo 2025
One of the main events of this campaign took place at Anime Expo 2025, Los Angeles.
Creator Panel:
On July 3 at 4:15-5:05 PM PDT in Room 403AB, Kodansha presents a special session with Kei Urana (mangaka) and Hideyoshi Andou (graffiti designer). The panel includes live drawing, Q&A session, and discussion of visual inspiration from the anime adaptation.
Premiere Screening:
On July 4 at 10:00 AM PDT, the first two episodes will be screened exclusively at the event. The screening location also features a series-themed installation in the main area of the exhibition.
Screening Schedule in Various Countries
Before the official airing, the premiere episode will also be screened early in some regions through cooperation with local events and theaters:

Synopsis and Story World
The series follows the journey of Rudo, a teenager from the slums of the floating city. In an unequal social system, the elite live in luxury while the lower class just survive on scraps.
One day, Rudo is accused of a murder he didn't commit and sentenced to an extreme punishment: being thrown into the abyss where all the city's garbage is piled up. At the bottom, he discovers a real threat-a monster of waste known as the trash beasts.
With the help of a group called CleanersRudo began honing new powers to uncover the truth and take revenge on those who had framed him.

The series is adapted from the manga Gachiakuta by Kei Urana published in Kodansha's Weekly Shonen Magazine. As of March 2025, the manga has reached 14 volumes. An English translated version has been published by Kodansha USA since January 2024.
The anime is scheduled to premiere globally on July 6, 2025 through official streaming services.
