Total War: Star Wars is reportedly in development at Creative Assembly, the studio best known for the Total War series of strategy games. According to a report from Eurogamer, Total War: Star Wars is one of three new games being developed by the studio.

Creative Assembly has recently faced a difficult time with the cancellation of their direct service shooter, Hyenas, as well as the sales failure of Total War: Pharaoh released last year. The studio also apologized for the various mistakes they made with the Total War DLC: Warhammer 3 DLC.

While there are no further details on Total War: Star Wars, the report adds credibility to speculation that Creative Assembly will refocus on strategy games, and this officially licensed Star Wars game could help turn the studio around.
