Stormcloud Games, a studio known for the game dungeon crawler ASCII Brut@l, has announced game latest, a 3D action platformer titled Junkster. The game is confirmed to release for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PC via Steam, and Nintendo's next-gen console, Switch 2.

The World and the Story of Junkster

The story in Junkster focuses on a small construction robot named UM-13, or Um for short. His adventure begins after his intergalactic cargo ship crashes on a dangerous junk planet. As a functioning robot, Um is tasked with surviving and finding a way off the planet.

The player's main mission as Um is to explore the environment to find the necessary parts to repair his ship. In addition, Um must also recover a lost cargo load, which contains valuable artifacts belonging to humans. The planet itself is not a friendly place, as it is inhabited by various creatures and robots that will become obstacles in Um's journey.

Gameplay and Key Mechanics of Junkster

Junkster is a game 3D action platformer which introduces mechanical builds as one of its core features. Um is armed with a robotic wrench (robo-wrench) that is versatile. It serves not only as a weapon to deal with the enemy, but also as a primary tool to interact with the environment.

With the wrench, players can transform the piles of trash and scrap scattered across the planet into more functional objects. This ability can be utilized to create platforms, modify the environment to solve puzzles, or build other tools.
