Microsoft is rumored to have prepared a special surprise at the Xbox Partner Preview event which will be held on October 18. According to Tech 4 Gamers, a recent leaker said Microsoft will not only introduce a new lineup of games for Xbox, ranging from Alan Wake 2, Wuchang, and Like A Dragon: Pirate Yakuza. Microsoft is also said to be introducing something very special.
Interestingly, the leaker even challenged gamers to guess what exactly the special something is and mentioned the names of big games such as Final Fantasy XVI to Black Myth: Wukong. Both games are only available on PlayStation and PC, so it will be a historic moment when one or even both of them appear on Xbox.
May Not Be a Game
Although many gamers predict that Xbox will have new games that were previously only released exclusively for PlayStation, there are some gamers who say that it could be that the special surprise is not a game but a new Xbox console.
Previously Microsoft was rumored to be developing a handheld version of Xbox. Unlike PC gaming handhelds like the ROG Ally, this Xbox handheld console is predicted to be like a portable version of Xbox that can only be used for gaming. However, Microsoft has never confirmed these rumors.
The presence of a new Xbox console is also understandable because Sony recently announced the PlayStation 5 Pro which is equipped with various modern features including upscaling and frame generation. The presence of the PlayStation 5 Pro could also trigger Microsoft to also announce a new version of the Xbox console.
