Official website for adaptation anime of popular games Needy Streamer Overload (or Needy Girl Overdose in Japan) has just released a new trailer that is a feast for fans' eyes. This promotional video is not just teaser, But it also brings important details about the theatrical version that will precede the television series.
For those of you who have been waiting for Ame-chan's action in animated format, this update presents the complete package. The information shared includes visuals of brand-new characters to the behind-the-scenes production staff handling this anime.
Anime Needy Streamer Overload Air Schedule
According to the latest announcement, the anime will greet fans through two different viewing formats. Before the main series airs on television, the studio will hold a special screening in Japanese theaters entitled Needy Girl Overdose -Overture-.
The movie is actually a compilation of television anime episodes that are scheduled to air from March 6. This limited screening will take place in two main locations, namely Shinjuku Theater in Tokyo and Umeda Theater in Osaka.
Meanwhile, the Needy Streamer Overload television series itself is set to premiere in April, coinciding with the start of the upcoming Spring season. This gradual release strategy clearly provides an exclusive opportunity for viewers in Japan to experience Ame-chan's story on the big screen earlier before enjoying it weekly at home.
Visuals of Ame-chan and the New Karamazov Unit
In addition to confirming the broadcast schedule, the official website also showed off new visuals of the protagonist, Ame-chan, with a design customized for the animation. However, the main spotlight was on the surprise arrival of a new streamer unit called “Karamazov”.
This unit is an original character created specifically to enrich the story of this anime and you will not find it in the game version.
The Karamazov Unit is fronted by three characters with an interesting lineup of voice actors:

Players take on the role of “P”, who is tasked with managing the life of a girl named Ame-chan for 30 days. The goal is to help her become the “greatest internet streamer” through her alter-ego persona, “OMGkawaiiAngel-chan”.
The game is known for its exploration of themes such as mental health, internet culture, and the extreme need for validation, presented in a style of pixel art which is typical.

Since its release by WSS Playground and Xemono in January 2022, the game has been a global success with over three million downloads. Its popularity has made the game available on multiple platforms, ranging from PC (Steam) to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5.
The story was even expanded through a manga adaptation Needy Girl Overdose: Run with My Sick by Itaru Bonnoki on Manga Cross since March 2023.
