Review Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, Japan's Best-Selling Yakuza Game

This is the first time I've tried the Like a Dragon series. Previously, I only knew a little about this game, just information that this is an RPG-based game with the theme of fighting between Yakuza.

Although the theme isn't anything special, or there are many games that use this kind of theme, I feel that Like a Dragon, especially the Infinite Wealth version, makes me feel at home playing.

Game Mechanics

RPG games always bring interesting mechanics and Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth. The first impression when playing it was "easy", my hands and fingers didn't need to move much when fighting.

1. Gameplay

During the time I played this game up to Chapter 3, I felt that SEGA gave more scenes to the game. cutscene and a long narrative. To gameplay-The game itself is quite minimal, but it looks like this battle between Yakuza will get more heated as the chapters increase.

Here, the fighting style uses a turn-based system or what SEGA calls the New Live Command RPG Battle System, so players take turns 'hitting' their opponents, so when fighting, I had to control about three characters (maybe more than three). And, each character has skills to subvert the enemies.

From the first chapter to the third (as far as I played), I played the role of Ichiban Kasuga. He was told as a former Yakuza but due to some conditions, he finally had to return to fighting like a yakuza.

Well, of course he is not alone because he will be accompanied by his Yakuza gang mates, namely Nanba and Adachi. Well, Nanba is the type of character with skills is more strategic and defensive. Adachi and Kasuga are more of the attacking type.

As a female player, it was obvious that the handsome and charming appearance of the characters was a big draw for me. When starting scene early on, I was quite impressed with Ichiban Kasuga's character visuals that were very manly and seem authoritative.

The visuals are so detailed that there are facial wrinkles, naturally flowing hair, and even the folds of the clothes look very neat.

Not only about the stunning visuals of the characters, but Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth also features beautiful cityscapes. When entering chapter 2, I started to go into the Hawaii area for certain missions, and at chapter I was happy to see that the Hawaiian beach scene felt quite real, especially when the Sunset.
