Kadokawa releases teaser and main cast list for anime Alma-chan Wants to Have a Family! (Alma-chan wa Kazoku ni Naritai), an adaptation of Nanateru's manga. The project immediately attracted attention with its unique comedic concept.
Synopsis and Story Background
The story follows Alma, a high-performance humanoid weapon created by two genius scientists: Enji Kamisato and Suzume Yobane. Despite being created as a combat tool, Alma desires something simple but no less complicated-having a family. With a light-hearted comedic approach, this story depicts the search for identity and relationships in an unusual context.
Production and Voiceover Team
The anime is produced by Studio Flad with Yasuhiro Minami as the director, who has previously handled a number of episodes in the Gintama and Turn A Gundam. The series scripts part is handled by Yukie Sugawara, the person behind the screenplay. Overlord (seasons 1-4) and Kino's Journey - The Beautiful World. For character design, the project entrusted the role to Mika Yamamoto, who has also been involved in ClassicaLoid and Tiger & Bunny 2.

About Alma-chan Wants to Have a Family! and a Short Closing
Manga Alma-chan wa Kazoku ni Naritai first published on the platform Comic Newtype Kadokawa and has reached three volumes by March 2024. The project now continues with a new series titled Alma-chan wa Kazoku ni Naritai ZThe first volume is scheduled to be released on July 31, 2024 and is still ongoing. The first volume is scheduled to be published on April 25, 2025.
