Zenless Zone Zero version 2.0 titled Where Clouds Embrace the Dawn will be released on June 6, 2025. This update marks the start of Season 2 and brings new regions, additional characters, updated gameplay features, as well as special rewards to celebrate the game's first anniversary.
Story and Trailer Version 2.0
Zenless Zone Zero version 2.0 takes players to Waifei Peninsula, a remote district located on the outskirts of New Eridu. This area becomes the location of a new story guided by Yi Xuan, the High Preceptor of Yunkui Summit, who will help Proxies uncover the secrets of Phaethon.
The main city of Failume Heights is in this region, close to Lemnian Hollow-an exploration zone known for its Porcelume resources and the threat of Miasma spreading. Enemies in this area can enter the Miasmic Field which strengthens their abilities in battle.
New Characters
Zenless Zone Zero version 2.0 brings three additional characters to expand team options:
- Yixuan (S-Rank, Auric Ink/Rupture)
A character that ignores enemy defense and deals damage based on Attack and Max HP. He uses the Adrenaline and has two Ultimate modes. - Ju Fufu (S-Rank, Fire Stun)
With weapons Hu Wei, he can collect Might and Momentum to deal Physical and Fire damage. His Chain Attack gives an effect Tiger's Roar who strengthened the CRIT DMG team. - Pan Yinhu (A-Rank, Physical Defense)
Yunkui Summit's defense is characterized by high defensive capabilities.
Bangboo S-Rank named Belion are also present as support units in this version. In addition, familiar characters such as Astra Yao (S-Rank, Ether Support) and Caesar (S-Rank, Physical Defense) will again be available through limited banners.
New Features in Zenless Zone Zero Version 2.0
The feature updates in Zenless Zone Zero version 2.0 cover various aspects of gameplay:
- Simulation of Suibian Temple
Players can manage Suibian Temple, upgrade facilities, complete commissions, and send Bangboos to earn rewards. - Hollow Zero Update: Lost Void
Agents can now be equipped with more than one Gear, opening up greater strategic flexibility in battle. - Gravitational Attraction Event
Players can watch movies with characters in theaters Lumina Square and earned W-Engine A-Rank: Reel Projector through solving challenges. - Soul of Steel Event: Golden Bond
Players can control mechs to complete missions within the Hollow and collect additional rewards. - 3D Map and Fissure Beacon System
This version adds 3D maps and features Fissure Beacon which allows heal, revive, and fast teleportation. New players who completed Chapter 2 Interlude in Season 1 can also directly access Season 2 content.

To commemorate the one-year anniversary of Zenless Zone Zero, players will get various free gifts:

Official Release on Xbox and Platform Expansion
Zenless Zone Zero version 2.0 will also be officially launched to Xbox Series X|S and Xbox Cloud Gaming starting June 6, 2025. Previously, the game has been available on PlayStation®5 Pro, PlayStation®5, PC, iOS, and Android. Xbox players can also pre-order the game. Xbox Starter Pack via the Xbox Store.
