Row manga The nostalgia of the 80-90s is back with a collaboration between 3 Coins and the magazine shojo manga Ribon.

The collaboration features 92 home & lifestyle goods themed on six classic titles that were serialized on Ribon, with a release on September 6 in Japan through the 3 Coins store and channel Online official.

A Nostalgic Shojo Manga Collaboration

3 Coins releases a collaboration line with Ribon, magazine shojo manga a monthly that is entering its 70th year of publication. The collection consists of 92 goods that refer to six classic manga titles from the archives of Ribon until about 40 years ago.

3 Coins x Ribon Shojo Manga

Many items are priced from 330 yen (tax included). Some products feature reprints of bonus illustrations (furoku) of the material freebies magazine; some of which have not been reprinted for decades.

In addition to individual sales, each title has a "Special Box" containing small lifestyle goods with a price of 2,750 yen. Availability is in Japan, through the 3 Coins chain of stores and the Online official on the release date.

Six Shojo Manga Icons From the Golden Era

The following six titles are included in the collaboration, with goods designs that reference the visual identity and signature elements of each series in Ribon.

Tokimeki Tonight (1982-1994, Koi Ikeno)

Fantasy-romance manga about Ranze, a half-vampire and half-girl werewolfIt is a story about a young boy who becomes a boxer, and his relationship with a classmate who aspires to be a boxer. This title received an anime adaptation as well as several manga continuations.

3 Coins x Ribon Shojo Manga

Chibi Maruko-chan (1986-1996, Momoko Sakura)

A semi-autobiographical work about the daily life of a third-grader named Maruko. The anime adaptation is still airing and approaching its 1,500th episode. Momoko Sakura passed away in 2018.

Hime-chan's Ribbon (1990-1994, Megumi Mizusawa)

Tells the story of a magical red ribbon that allows transformation into another person for one hour. Featuring characters mascot a lifelike stuffed lion.

Marmalade Boy (1992-1995, Wataru Yoshizumi)

It follows Miki and Yuu's family situation after their parents divorce, exchange partners, remarry, and live together in one house.

Lunatic Acrobatic Team (1993-1995, A-Min Okada)

It focuses on Yumemi, a junior high school student who lives in the house of a boy she likes while her parents are abroad, and faces various challenges in her new environment.

Neighborhood Story (1995-1997, Ai Yazawa)

The story follows Mikako, an art school student and aspiring fashion designer, and her relationship with her childhood friend, Tsutomu. Ai Yazawa is also known for Paradise Kiss and Nana.

Collaboration Purchasing Access

Retrieved Ribon x 3 Coins is scheduled for September 6 and is available in Japan through the 3 Coins store and channels Online Official. On the opening day of September 6, access to purchases at physical stores implemented a time-division lottery system (timed entry).

Restrictions on the number of purchases per item apply during the collaboration period. Registration for the store access lottery is available until August 26 via the website Pal Closet belongs to 3 Coins.
