Ubisoft has just announced the latest details for the game Anno 117: Pax Romana. This game will take players to the era of the Roman Empire, where they will play the role of a Governor. Unlike the previous series, Anno 117: Pax Romana will place more emphasis on narrative elements and player choice.
Choose Your Own Story
For the first time in the history of the Anno series, you can choose your main character. There are two options available: Marcus, a young man who has just been appointed Governor and needs to prove his worth, or Marcia, a woman who has mysteriously risen to power amidst male dominance. This choice of character will affect the storyline and how you'll rule your province. Every decision you make will have consequences, shaping the future of your fiefdom.
Additional Content in Year One
Ubisoft has also prepared additional content plans for the first year after release. The Year 1 Pass will feature three major expansions. "Prophecies of Ash" will introduce the largest island in Anno's history, complete with an active volcano. "The Hippodrome" lets you build a magnificent chariot racetrack for the entertainment of the people. Finally, "Dawn of the Delta" will take you to a new province in the wilderness with a different culture and challenges.
More Complex Gameplay
Anno 117: Pax Romana retains the core gameplay as a city-building game. You will be responsible for managing resources, building settlements, and ensuring the well-being of the population. This time, however, elements such as god's choice, technological development, and military might will have a more significant impact on the success of your empire. The ultimate goal is to achieve "Pax Romana" or Roman peace, but the means to achieve this is entirely in your hands.

Anno 117: Pax Romana is scheduled for release on November 13, 2025. The game will be available on multiple platforms, including PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X | S, Amazon Luna, and PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and Ubisoft Connect.
