Adaptation announcement anime new coming from the genre isekai. Light novel titled The Strongest Job is Apparently Not a Hero or a Sage, but an Appraiser (Provisional)! is officially confirmed to be adapted into a television anime series scheduled to premiere in April 2026.
Story and Visual Teaser
The story centers on Hibiki Manabe, a high school student who is thrown into a fantasy world and gains the ability of "Appraisal" with the job of "Appraiser (provisional)"... or (Provisional)...!?
With the guidance of Emalia, an elven woman he met, Hibiki begins his journey as an adventurer. He is accompanied by Claude, a warrior beastman wolf; Lilian, a young girl with great magical powers; and Vene, a sacred white cat who can speak. Together, they go on an adventure to grow stronger while finding a way for Hibiki to return to his world.

Atsushi Takeda, the mangaka of the manga light novel adaptation, also released a special illustration to celebrate the anime announcement.

The anime project will be handled by Studio Flad with an announced lineup of staff and voice actors.

About The Strongest Job is Apparently Not a Hero or a Sage, but an Appraiser (Provisional)!
The anime is adapted from a light novel series with the original title Saikyo no Shokugyo wa Yusha Demo Kenja Demo Naku Kantei-shi (Kari) Rashii Desu yo?, written by Atekichi with illustrations by Akira Shigaraki. The novel was first released in March 2017.
A manga adaptation by Atsushi Takeda has also been published since August 2017. Author Atekichi is also known for another work, Heroine? No, I'm an All-Works Maid (And Proud of It)!, which will also get an anime adaptation.
