Where Winds Meet Enter Chapter 2 Hexi Expansion

Everstone Studio announced that Liangzhou is the second chapter in the Hexi Expansion. The expansion is built in three chapters with different geographical regions.

After the desert-dominated Jade Gate Pass, players will move to Liangzhou, which features snowy mountains and a fortified border town. This change in setting is a major part of the Chapter 2 update.

Liangzhou is also said to be entering a new phase after a pivotal point in the storyline. This phase will bring changes to exploration and combat in the region.

As a complement, Everstone Studio also shared a video Hexi Region Recap to summarize Hexi Region's journey before the Liangzhou update was released.

Where Winds Meet Adds Two New Stories

Liangzhou presents two new stories, namely Liangzhou Melody and Paper Moon.

Liangzhou Melody follows the journey of a young musician in search of a hometown he has never known.

Meanwhile, Paper Moon focuses on a conflict within a Buddhist hall that changes the fate of two people in the midst of chaotic times.

These two stories are both connected through the longing for the moonlight of Chang'an. This detail is part of the story direction that Chapter 2 takes.

Raging Tides and Heng Blade are highlights in Liangzhou

This update also introduces Raging Tides as a new sect. The sect was born out of a military service background and featured strong discipline on the battlefield.

Beyond the battle, Raging Tides described as having a freer side and being close to wine. This contrast became the main characteristic of the new sect present in Liangzhou.

Another important content in this update is the presence of Heng Blade. It is described as a weapon with a straight, angular tip and bold lines.

In combat, Heng Blade carrying mechanics deflect-and-counter. This mechanic allows players to withstand an attack and then actively counter it.

Everstone Studio also mentions combat animations for Heng Blade handled by Stephen Tung Wai, who is known for his action choreography work in Hard Boiled, Hero, and Reign of Assassins.

This weapon is also included in the martial arts line. Stonesplit Strength with Mo Blade.

Where Winds Meet Presents New Campaign and Boss

Liangzhou will also bring new campaigns and new world bosses. One of the campaigns announced is Death of Governor, It's a game that takes players through traps to uncover the truth behind an event.

There is also a fight against a giant guardian creature Town Gate Roar amid siege warfare in Dasan Pass.

For the world boss, Everstone Studio names Moongazing Maiden, Everdeer, and Pocketrupt Circus. The three would be part of a new threat spread across Liangzhou's wild territory.
