In addition, this version also features mid-run modifiers, more than 60 routines, Protocols for character attacks, and Corpora as an effect during the run.

Some of the optional encounters mentioned include Emporium, Operator's Trial, Devil Bargain, and Eden's Blessing.

In terms of progression, Morbid Metal also presents Void Nexus, the system to open Protocols, development of build synergies, as well as Lore Codex Entries.

Combat Shapeshift in the Spotlight

One of the main elements Morbid Metal is a shapeshift system that allows players to switch to another character in real-time in the middle of a fight.

These mechanics are combined with chain combos to take on waves of machine enemies and bosses in various areas. The official game description also emphasizes the fast-paced hack-and-slash roguelite approach.

For those of you who want to try this game before the Early Access version is released, Morbid Metal Demo is still available on Steam.

Previously, we also discussed Morbid Metal at Steam Next Fest. Now, Morbid Metal is set to enter the Early Access phase with initial content already being shown.

With the demo still available and a roadmap to be announced after launch, the game is now entering the next stage of its development on Steam.
