Story
Just Like the Mona Lisa The story is set in a world where everyone is born without a gender. As they approach the age of twelve, their bodies begin to transform into the gender they desire. However, the main character, Arima Hinase, does not undergo this transformation until she turns eighteen.
Hinase is a high school junior who spends her days with her two childhood friends, Ritsu Kaga and Shiori Takayama. Unlike Hinase, Ritsu and Shiori have already made up their minds. Their daily lives begin to change when Ritsu and Shiori both confess their feelings to Hinase.
This story explores themes of love, choice, and what we hold most dear. The anime adaptation is also presented as a youthful love triangle that centers on the dynamics between Hinase, Ritsu, and Shiori.
