HoYoverse announced Petit Planet at gamescom 2026 Opening Night Live in Cologne, Germany. The game will launch globally in winter 2026. Petit Planet will be available on PC, iOS, and Android with full cross-platform support. Pre-registration for Petit Planet has been open on all platforms since this announcement.
The Story Behind Petit Planet
Petit Planet is HoYoverse’s first cozy galactic life simulation game. The game’s launch window trailer premiered at gamescom ONL (Opening Night Live). The trailer showcases the warm atmosphere of life among the stars, from sunlight glinting off a fishing line to plants growing as the seasons change.
Players will be able to set sail whenever they want and share their stories with the Neighbors they meet along the way. After that, players can stop by the Galactic Bazaar to connect with fellow Planet Tenders.
Petit Planet Gameplay
In this game, players take on the role of a Planet Tender. As a Planet Tender, players care for their own planet while gathering resources in their daily lives. These resources can then be crafted into handmade furniture. Players also gradually shape their land, transforming it into a unique galactic home.
Neighbor and Starsea Features
Petit Planet features a rich Neighbor interaction system. These adorable Neighbors gradually become part of players’ daily lives, from picking fruit together to building houses together. Through these interactions, players share peaceful and cozy moments together.
When players are ready to explore further, they can set sail for the Starsea. Islets are scattered throughout the Starsea, and each one holds rare resources and hidden encounters. The landscapes and ecosystems on each islet are diverse, making every exploration feel different.
After exploring to their heart’s content, players can stop by the bustling Galactic Bazaar to meet other players from around the world and forge unique connections through the various activities available there.
Platforms and Launch Schedule
You can try out Petit Planet in person at gamescom 2026, specifically in Hall 6.1, Booth B030. Media and players are invited to visit the booth in person.
In addition, pre-registration for Petit Planet is now open on the Apple App Store, Google Play, and the Epic Games Store. Players simply need to search for “Petit Planet” to sign up, and they’ll automatically receive a notification when the game launches.
