Petit Planet, HoYoverse’s laid-back life simulation game, is coming to PC, iOS, and Android on December 4, 2026. As reported by Gematsu, the game will be free to download on all of these platforms.
Pre-downloads open on December 1, 2026. A Nintendo Switch 2 version is also in development and is scheduled to follow in 2027.
Story and world
At Petit Planet, you play as a Planet Tender who sails into the Starsea on the back of Oumuamua, the Starsea Spirit said to hear the wishes in everyone’s heart. On your own little planet, you plant a Luca Seed that slowly grows into a Luca Arbor and helps shape the planet’s landscape, seasons, and ecosystem.
You won’t be alone. Mobai the Planet Coordinator and Elsasani the Starsea Racer are the first to welcome you, and other Neighbors arrive over time, each with their own story. As you get to know them, brief encounters can grow into friendships.
Petit Planet’s Key Features
- Build your own planet: decorate your home, arrange your surroundings, and reshape the planet’s land, coastline, and even its sky to your liking.
- Live with your Neighbors: help them out, exchange gifts, share meals, or simply go for a relaxed stroll to learn each Neighbor’s story.
- Magical everyday life: farm, fish, catch bugs, comb the beach, and cook by combining ingredients to discover new recipes.
- Explore the Starsea: sail to the Islets scattered across the Starsea to gather materials, discover unique creatures, and make new friends.
- Galactic Bazaar: a gathering place where Planet Tenders trade, play games, join auctions, and show off their creations.
More than 1,000 clothing and furniture items can be earned for free through regular play. Pre-registrations have already passed 10 million.
